Aperture
Aperture Privacy Policy
Aperture is a space for private reflection. What you believe, and what you discover about what you believe, stays on your device.
Effective date: April 23, 2026.
What We Collect
Aperture does not collect user data. The beliefs you enter, the paths you choose, and the reflections you complete are stored only in your device's local storage using Apple's on-device persistence framework.
Aperture does not receive or transmit the content you create in the app.
- No name, email address, or account information
- No belief or reflection content
- No location data
- No usage analytics or behavioral data
- No crash reports or diagnostics beyond anonymized, aggregated information Apple may provide through App Store Connect
Local Notifications
If you choose to enable reminders, Aperture uses Apple's local notification system. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app.
Third Parties
Aperture does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. Stonham Studios does not sell, share, or process Aperture user data with outside services.
Data Storage and Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, all associated data is deleted along with it.
There is no account to close, no server-side data to request removal of, and no backup stored outside of your own device's standard backup, such as iCloud or iTunes, managed by you.
Children's Privacy
Aperture is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because no user data is collected, this is a structural guarantee rather than a policy intention.
Changes to This Policy
If the policy is updated, the effective date will be updated and, where appropriate, users will be notified through the app.
Stonham Studios will not materially reduce your privacy protections without notice.
