Privacy Policy — G.Y.S.T.

This Privacy Policy explains how G.Y.S.T. (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. G.Y.S.T. is a personal budgeting app built for iOS.

1. Information We Collect

G.Y.S.T. does not collect personal information about you. The App stores only the financial data you enter directly, which includes:

  • Your pay frequency, pay amount, and last pay date
  • Budget category names and allocated amounts
  • Weekly check-in entries (spending amounts by category)
  • Monthly history records (income and spending snapshots)
  • Income entries (for variable-income mode)
  • Reminder preferences (day, time, and type)

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It lives entirely on your device.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is saved locally on your device using iOS’s Application Support directory with complete file protection (Apple’s highest level of at-rest encryption). Data is never uploaded to a server, cloud service, or any external system.

3. Device Permissions

Calendar Creates a weekly “Budget Check-In” event Only if enabled in Settings

Face ID / Touch ID / Passcode Locks the App for security Each time the app is reopened

You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings → G.Y.S.T. Biometric authentication uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework; no biometric data is stored by the App.

4. Third-Party Services

G.Y.S.T. does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data. Because all data stays on your device, we have no access to it ourselves.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Deleting Your Data

You can delete all data at any time using the reset option within the App, or by deleting the App from your device.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
